Venue

The Hall must be at least 4 meters high; the images are projected on a square screen measuring 3.7 x 3.7 m, situated at a maximum of 10 m from the projector.

Table

The table for the projector and accessories should measure 0.8 x 1.2 m minimum, and a chair should be available. 220 V electricity source is required, possibly with 2 or 3 plugs.

The surface of the table should be at a height of 2 m and put on a solid and stable surface; the less vibrations are communicated to the table, the more stable the images. (I enjoy dancing while composing my pictures…)

Environment

Lights

To assure the most powerful images, it is necessary to cut off  the maximum of other light sources; for instance no projectors should be directed onto the screen, and UV-lights should not reach the screen. The power of my projector is “only” 500 W.

Smog

Smog effects are often in use in parties; this will affect the quality of the images and sometimes render the screen invisible. The use of such artificial smoke should therefore be minimal.

Miscellaneous

People moving right in front of the beam will cause discomfort for other watchers; the front of the projector should be if possible out of the reach of people.

Dancing in front of the screen is however fun, especially dancers wearing white or clear clothes will see their clothes in constant color changes…
